Tata Motors launches new Tigor at starting price of Rs 5.2 lakh

Available in both petrol and diesel variant, the price of the petrol model starts at Rs 5.2 lakh and will be available across all authorised Tata Motors sales outlets, as per a company release. It is offered in four grades: XE, XM, XZ and XZ+.

There is, however, no change to the Tigor's powertrains.

Checkout the Tata Harrier's all-new 2.0L KYROTECH diesel engine! While the basic silhouette of the compact sedan remains the same, Tata Motors has added chrome internal finish to projector headlamps, clear-lens tail-lights and a shark-fin antenna to extend freshness. It comes with power folding ORVMs with integrated LED turn signals and 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the new Tigor gets premium black and grey interior theme coupled with titanium colour faux leather seats, premium knitted roof liner and rear armrest with cup holders. The Tigor now offers six colours - Egyptian Blue, Roman Silver, Espresso Brown, Berry Red, Pearlescent White and Titanium Grey. The Tigor is available with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 84 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm @ 3,500 rpm.

Tata has claimed there is an improvement in the transmission assembly to reduce the vibration and deliver better performance.
