Postal worker quits, boxes of mail found dumped on side of road

A USPS worker dumped hundreds of letters on the side of a road in New Jersey before handing in their resignation.

Postal service officials say mail that should have been delivered to people in the city's Roxborough section wound up dumped on a street in Camden County, New Jersey.

The piles of trashed mail date back to August 8, but were discovered on Sunday in Pennsauken, reported.

It took a Facebook post from a man in Pennsauken to get action by the U.S. Postal Service.

The picture of the undelivered goods has been shared more than 3,700 times on Facebook.

The mail carrier who was responsible for the delivery resigned on September 8.

One man claiming to be a postal worker said "there's no excuse" for leaving the mail by the side of the road. "The Roxborough Station Post Office is going to deliver the mail".
