Mike ''The Situation'' Sorrentino Speaks Out After Prison Sentencing

Mike Sorrentino pleaded guilty to tax evasion and concealing income in January.

Michael Sorrentino admitted that in tax year 2011, he earned taxable income, including some that was paid in cash, and that he took certain actions to hide some of his income to avoid paying the full amount of taxes he owed. He anticipates to come back stronger as an individual and couple in the same healthy mind set that he has had for the last three years.

In a world filled with tsunamis, injustices and poverty, you can take solace in the fact that some form of peace has been added to the universe.

Under his plea agreement, Marc pleaded guilty to aiding in the preparation of a false and fraudulent tax return and admitted he under-reported his income for 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Police Say Drunk Birds Will Sober Up Soon
The northeastern Minnesota town of Gilbert is alerting residents that birds may be a bit more "tipsy" than normal this time of year.

According to a tweet from a journalist who was on site, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cameras were around to capture the cast wandering around the city as Sorrentino entered the court. Mike Sorrentino will be required to pay $123,913 in restitution, as well as a criminal fine of $10,000.

Sorrentino first hit the public spotlight when Jersey Shore debuted, with the show quickly becoming a cultural phenomenon and making instant stars out of its hard-partying cast members.

"We are very happy to put this behind us", the reality star captioned a series of photos featuring his fiancée, Lauren Pesce, and his "Jersey Shore" co-stars on Instagram hours after his sentencing. He is free on bail until he has to report; it's not been determined where he'll be incarcerated or when the term begins.

"It's coming to an end and [I'll] get some closure, finally", he told reporters at the premiere of the Jersey Shore reboot in March.
