White House corrects transcript to reflect Trump's insult

And on Monday, Trump needlessly and cruelly mocked a Cecilia Vega of ABC News at a press event at the White House Rose Garden.

Trump called on Cecilia Vega, a White House reporter for ABC News, before musing about her aloud. "Like in a state of shock", he said.

She quickly rebutted, saying, "I'm not, thank you Mr. President", to which he said, "I know you're not thinking, you never do".

"That's OK. I know you're not thinking", Mr Trump then said.

Trump then asked her to go ahead with her question.

What I can say is that this president and his team haven't earned the benefit of the doubt - because this wasn't the first instance of the Trump White House making convenient edits to official transcripts.

He refused to let Vega ask a question about the other big news of the day: the FBI investigation into his Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.

Kozak said he had noted the increased popularity of motor racing in Russian Federation and the growing interest in Formula One in particular.

Kavanaugh has faced allegations of sexual misconduct by three women, Christine Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez and Julie Swetnick.

"That joke doesn't work if everyone thinks Trump is a great president".

He appeared to mishear Vega as she answered him, "I'm not". You never do. Now, go ahead. But Trump continued to taunt her. More importantly, they seem to be more questions the GOP administration is refusing to answer.

On many occasions, Trump has called the media biased for questioning his controversial policies and knee-jerk style of decision making. "But, you know, I'd like to do the trade questions, too".

The morning after releasing a transcript that misrepresented an uncomfortable exchange the president had with a female reporter on Monday, the White House sent out a corrected version.

"I'm not a drinker I never had beer in my life!" "You've had enough. You've really had enough". "I'd be the world's worst!"

When the White House distributed a transcript of the meeting to media contacts, the line was different, with an incongruous "thanking" substituted for "thinking". "I'd be a mess".
