Trump mocks Christine Blasey Ford, says 'I've had so many false accusations'

"So if the Federal Bureau of Investigation is going to pursue this or Chairman Grassley wants them to pursue this they should also pursue the roommates of Judge Kavanaugh who said that he was incoherently drunk", Swalwell pointed out.

"It should all be investigated", Swalwell said.

But this was never about any of the Kavanaugh accusers.

Flake is not the only one who isn't taking the president's comments well.

CNN quoted her as saying on Wednesday morning: "The president's comments were just plain wrong". The official revealed the private conversations only on condition of anonymity.

In Congress, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he is certain that the FBI's report will be finished and the Senate will vote on Kavanaugh's nomination this week.

"I don't think what he said is any different than what Justice Thomas said", Grassley said.

But Flake also said that the President's attack would not influence his vote.

Senators are preparing to vote on Kavanaugh as soon as this weekend - and prepared for it to be a close.

Three days earlier, Flake single-handedly delayed Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation proceedings by insisting on an FBI investigation as a condition for his support.

"Judge Kavanaugh is not going to come out on the right side of history from a perception standpoint, regardless of what the facts are of the case".

Chinese warship's 'unsafe' encounter with USA vessel
The US said its plane was conducting routine operations in worldwide airspace, and called the incident an unsafe intercept. However, Beijing demands that foreign naval vessels seek its permission before transiting Chinese territorial waters.

In a sign of their hardening stance, Republicans began to aim the credibility questions at Ford.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders said "the president was stating the facts" at a MS rally where he imitated Professor Christine Blasey Ford. Arizona prosecutor Rachel Mitchell, who questioned Prof Ford during testimony, said she had told a polygrapher it happened in the early 80s, then crossed out the word "early". Vermont Democrat Patrick Leahy, the longest-serving current senator, said the mood in the Capitol is among the worst he has seen. A man who had a brief extramarital affair with Swetnick said that she enjoyed group sex and suffered from psychological issues.

She told senators last week that she didn't talk about the assault with anyone until she was in couples therapy in 2012, and again in individual therapy in 2013.

Kilmeade meant a political rally Trump spoke at the previous evening, amid the latest public crisis to engulf his administration: a string of sexual accusations against the president's Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.

Speaking at a news conference at the White House on the reworked free trade agreement between the US, Canada and Mexico, Mr Trump said he wanted the investigation to "go quickly".

"It's a very scary time for young men in America when you can be guilty of something that you may not be guilty of", Mr Trump told reporters.

The agency has also spoken to a second woman, Deborah Ramirez, who has claimed Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a Yale party when both were freshmen.

"Let's let the people decide whether or not their senator was right in voting "no" against this good man", he said. Smyth and Leland Keyser.

In the latest seven-day average in a survey of 4,057 USA adults, 41 percent of respondents opposed Kavanaugh, 33 percent supported him and 26 percent said they did not know.

Ford said she didn't remember some details but that others were "seared into [her] memory".

He had originally called her testimony to a Senate committee about the events "credible" and "compelling", but at a political rally in MS, he instead blasted her for forgetting certain details. But I had one beer. But I want a process that we can be proud of. "We simply can't", Flake said at an event sponsored by The Atlantic magazine.
