Smith will be fined if he doesn't cover Supreme tattoo

JR Smith says the National Basketball Association is threatening to fine him over one of his tattoos.

Smith has always been known for having his body covered in tattoos, but he added an even more noticeable one over the summer.

The NBA is apparently ready to fine Cleveland Cavaliers guard JR Smith for every game he doesn't cover his "Supreme" tattoo on the back of his leg.

It's nice work. However, not everybody likes it - specifically, the suits in the NBA's league office who are very particular about advertising and marketing with the league (and making sure the league gets its cut).

Smith took to Instagram on Saturday to express his frustration with the league's warning.

This is one of those things if the National Basketball Association didn't make a big deal out of it, no one would have noticed. Supreme is a competing apparel brand.

JR Smith has received his fair share of fines during his National Basketball Association career, but the one he could get to start the year is definitely a first for the veteran.
