It was the service that really put Google on the map.

Discover should be making its way to your phone over the coming days, so keep your eyes peeled.

More context will be shown in your Google Images search results, as in the GIF below. We've heard about "Stories" in Search before, but now Google is integrating them more the Discover tab and Images.

A new "Journeys" feature is meant to keep track of users' individual searches about particular topics. You don't have to watch a full video for just the 30 seconds that relates to your query.

In the 20 or so years since then, Google has changed a lot - while the primary colors in the logo and the search engine's name has stayed the same, the company has added a ton of new products, including Gmail, the world's most popular webmail product, and Android, which powers most of the world's smartphones. If you find an image within your results that you'd like to know more about, you'll be able to tap a Lens icon that will expand upon your search.

Next up is something called Activity Cards. The Discover icon, which looks like a rainbow asterisk, will appear next to each topic and will also show up on searches. Right now, if you search for a celebrity or notable person in Google Search, you'll start to see AMP stories about that person.

Collections is another feature for keeping track of long search journeys. The technology can better determine the kind of information related to a particular search, even if it's not obvious from the query used, and to do tasks like more accurately identify cats in photos.
