Duchess Meghan joined by her mother for launch of London Grenfell cookbook

Ragland was spotted at the airport in Los Angeles a few days ago, and observers assumed she would be in London for Meghan's big event.

The cookbook features recipes from women in the community who prepare food to help and heal.

"I used to call you Meghan (and I still do) but dear Duchess of Sussex your first project "Together" [is] a cookbook bringing women of all cultures together", Williams wrote.

She paired a pleated, polyester skirt from Misha Nonoo with a sleeveless, turtleneck bodysuit from Tuxe, according to the style site Meghan's Mirror.

"On a personal level, I feel so proud to live in this city that can have so much diversity", she continued.

The Duchess of Sussex put on an event to launch a cookbook for which she wrote the foreword.

"Working on this project for the past nine months has been a tremendous labor of love", she exclaimed, marveling over the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen.

The Duchess of Sussex was joined by her mother Doria and husband, the Duke of Sussex, to launch her first solo charity project - a cookbook titled, Together.

Speaking of her work with the community group Meghan said: "I immediately felt connected to this community kitchen; it is a place for women to laugh, grieve, cry and cook together". "Your warmth and your kindness, and also to be in this city and see in this one small room how multicultural it was". Everyone has embraced this so fully because it has been a passion project for us all'.

The 37-year-old has been going to see the women who work and visit the Hubb Community Kitchen in West London since January, and a new video shows her getting stuck in with kitchen prep and dishing up meals.

Markle went on to emphasize the power that food can have in people's lives.

The palace said the group of women behind the project had made a decision to gather and prepare fresh food for their families and neighbours, as a way of helping the community to connect, heal and look forward - and to "convene through food".

Markle's participation includes the support of the Royal Foundation, as well as the name recognition that comes with her face on the cover.
