Patriots sign former Broncos WR Bennie Fowler

The Patriots are adding some depth to their receiving corps by signing former Brown Corey Coleman, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.

During final roster cuts, some believed the Bills should give Coleman more time to adapt to his new team's offense. It looks like he was replaced by new running back on the practice squad.

Coleman isn't the first former first-round wide receiver the Patriots have taken a flier on.

Coleman, 24, played in 19 games with the Browns but injuries became a detriment.

And the wide receiver carousel keeps spinning in New England.

She said his affect changed from the start of the meeting, that his eyes had darkened and he "looked like a predator". Thompson, who had previously worked on Wall Street, rejected suggestions that she encouraged Weinstein's behavior.

In the Patriots' 27-20 opening win over the Texans, Phillip Dorsett impressed with seven catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.

The Pats have struggled to find reliable targets for quarterback Tom Brady this season at the receiver position, especially without Julian Edelman, who was suspended for the first four games of the season.

But Cordarrelle Patterson (16 plays) and Riley McCarron (15) rotated through and made little impact as the third and fourth receivers.

Bennie Fowler was previously signed to a one-year deal by the Chicago Bears in April, but failed to make the team's 53-man roster earlier this month.

Barner, 28, was a sixth-round pick by the Panthers in 2013 and returned to Carolina for training camp this year.
