Celtics Player Faces Strangulation, Kidnapping Charges In Alleged Assault

Bad news overnight for the Celtics and Jabari Bird.

Boston police say Bird is facing charges including assault and battery, strangulation and kidnapping. Here is the full statement.

As for Bird, he was being "guarded by the Boston police at a local hospital" at the time of the police statement.

Further details will continue leak to the public, but as of now it's been reported that the assault is a "domestic incident". The victim also is reportedly hospitalized.
