Guys in Houston Pull Off a Brilliant McDonald's Ad Scheme

"We looked around and we saw there were no Asians in the posters around McDonald's, so we made a decision to do it ourselves, and I guess the rest is history", said Jehv Maravilla, a 21-year-old University of Houston student.

Jehv Maravilla and Christian Toledo spent a lot of time in McDonald's.

In the video, Maravilla points at the pictures in the fast-food chain, saying, "There are literally no Asians on these walls".

"All races deserve recognition, and I guess I did my part", he said.

"We went thrift shopping and found a McDonald's shirt for $7", Maravilla says in the video.

Maravilla told Inc. that the phony advertising image has been on the McDonald's wall for the past 53 days and that he waited so long to reveal the prank via Twitter because he 'wanted people to think it was impressive that it's been there for so long'.

On July 13, Maravilla, Toledo and friends snuck the over-sized poster into the Pearland McDonald's and proceeded to hang it on the wall without being detected.

What the future holds for the poster is a question only McDonald's can answer. Maravilla also created a fake security badge identifying himself as a "regional interior coordinator" by the name of Jeff Bergara.

White Sox Star Rookie Michael Kopech to Undergo Tommy John Surgery
The hard-throwing right-hander - who can hit 100 miles per hour - is ranked as baseball's No. 13 prospect by MLB prospect watch. This is a devastating blow to the White Sox, although their season has been lost for quite a while.

They edited the poster to have the same dotted circle design as the other ones in the restaurant.

"Left, left, left, left, left, left left", he said. "Cassandra, up. There. Perfect".

In the video, the friends showed how they pulled off the stunt. More surprising to Maravilla was that more than seven weeks later, the picture remained in place.

"I really hope they never take it down."

The prank has delighted thousands of people.
