Prosecutors: Story of man urinating on black girl made up

Police say no charges will be filed against David Dean, 60, who was accused of urinating on a child earlier this week.

The suspect is behind bars and facing felony charges.

Parker says his family called Grand Rapids Police in the past, regarding Dean trying to lure his daughter into his home, but says an officer told them ultimately there's not much they could do unless Dean hurt the kids. Parents of the young girl, who was not identified by name, called the police about 20 minutes after the incident.

The Kent County Prosecutor's Office on Thursday issued a news release saying the case will be reviewed for any appropriate charges once the police investigation is complete. No injuries were reported at the scene.

Police conducted a neighborhood search before finding the suspect, they said.
