Pink Stops Concert to Hug Teen Who Recently Lost Mom

Leah Murphy from the city of Townsville, Australia, brought a sign reading "My name is Leah - I'm 14 years old".

While on tour in Australia, singer Pink stopped her Brisbane show Tuesday after noticing a girl in the audience holding a sign.

"She's just a huge, huge fan of Pink, and so was her mum, so it was just awesome she took the time to give her a hug". Murphy told Pink how much her mother loved her, and Pink would tell her everything would be ok and not to cry. Leah made a decision to go in her place and when the show was postponed, her aunt Katrina Donkin organised for them to see Pink in Brisbane instead. "Please!" to the singer's concert in Brisbane on Monday.

Katrina, Leah and other friends lofted the signs to grab Pink's attention, but at first she couldn't read them. I would LOVE a hug ... "It was just enough for Pink to say, 'What is that?'"

After breaking into Donkin's home to retrieve the tickets, the neighbor "asked the pilots of a flight that arrived in Brisbane at lunch time if they could take them down and they said yes", Donkin said. I lost my lovely Mom last month.

"Ok guys Help me out", she captioned a photo of Murphy and her mother, Debbie.

Sadly, Debbie died before she was able to make it to the show, so Leah was going to go in her place. Prior to the concert, Donkin set out on a mission to see that her niece got a hug at the show.

Leah then got Pink's signature and a selfie with the superstar.

Donkin wrote on Facebook that the touching moment was a "hug from heaven" and said that Leah hasn't "stopped smiling, skipping and singing" ever since.

"We ended up at the front row and Pink just held her felt like 20 seconds", she added.

"They handed delivered them to me ..."
