Idris Elba Squashes The Idea That He's The Next James Bond

All you 007 dreamers out there, prepare to have your hearts broken.

Actor Daniel Craig announced after the last two James Bond films, Specter and Skyfall, that he was exhausted of the character and meant to step down from the iconic role of 007.

He was walking the carpet at the United Kingdom premiere of his directorial debut, "Yardie", when a reporter presented him with a martini and asked if he would like it shaken or stirred. He will return for one more James Bond film, the tentatively titled James Bond 25, before retiring.

Rumors circulated earlier this month that Elba was being thought of for the role.

Fuqua's reps then claimed the story was false, but not before Elba himself posted a couple of tweets that seemed to be playing up the whole thing.

Elba later shut down the rumor by tweeting out, "Don't believe the HYPE".

But now word comes that the Danny Boyle, who was slated to direct the next Bond films, has left the project due to creative differences with the principles involved in the franchise.
