Canadian punter Jon Ryan leaving Seattle Seahawks after 10 seasons

Jon Ryan indicated he's out as Seahawks punter Monday morning with a tweet announcing the end of his tenure in Seattle.

Regina-born punter Jon Ryan and the Seattle Seahawks have parted company after a mutually prosperous 10-year association.

Ryan and Seahawks management agreed to part ways on Monday after it became clear Dickson had won the job and to give Ryan time to try to find another team before the regular season begins. With Myers out of the picture, Sebastian Janikowski is the only kicker on the Seahawks' roster.

The writing was on the wall for the former Sheldon-Williams Spartans, University of Regina Rams and Winnipeg Blue Bombers standout after the Seahawks selected punter Michael Dickson in the 2018 National Football League draft.
