Google to Launch Smart Speaker With Display Ahead of Holidays?

A few companies have already announced Google Assistant smart speakers with displays, with Lenovo's Smart Display being the first out of the gate.

Amazon did not immediately respond to GeekWire's inquiry. Last fall, TechCrunch, citing multiple unnamed sources, reported that Google was "building a tabletop smart screen for video calling and more that will compete with Amazon's Echo Show". It will allegedly be part of the Google Home family, offering similar functionality to the new Lenovo smart display.
