Vimeo removes Infowars content

Apple, Facebook, YouTube, and others have already taken steps against the company, some removing content and some banning the outlet altogether.

However, email provider MailChimp notified InfoWars last week that its "accounts have been terminated for violating our Terms of Service, which make it clear that we don't allow people to use our platform to disseminate hateful content".

This morning, Business Insider reported that Vimeo had removed some of Jones' content citing a violation of its Terms of Service.

Apple, YouTube, Spotify and Facebook all announced blocks of the conspiracy theorist's accounts and content within hours of one another on Monday, citing hate policy violations. Jones has since resurfaced on Real.Video, a video site that promotes free speech. "We didn't suspend Alex Jones or Infowars yesterday".

In light of Jones and InfoWars removal from Facebook, the New York Times revealed inside sources claiming Mark Zuckerberg originally didn't want Jones's content removed.

The suspects are being jailed without bail in New Mexico and one of them, Lucas Morton, also faces a charge of harboring a felon. That changed when a note was forwarded to Georgia authorities saying children inside the compound were starving, Hogrefe said.

But if even the Twitter safety team is afraid to express their beliefs in a public forum, that does not inspire much confidence that everyday users should feel safe from harassment.

The tech world has been pretty staunch in its ostracisation of Alex Jones, the mastermind behind conspiracy website Infowars.

Twitter is one of the few remaining major platforms still propping Jones up.

To say that Alex Jones is a controversial figure is an understatement. For example, Jones has made multiple claims that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a government hoax, prompting lawsuits against the Infowars host. Less than an hour after the CNN story went live, more than a dozen videos and tweets from Jones-affiliated Twitter accounts were removed. The spokesperson added that Twitter will continue reviewing flagged content and "take action as appropriate".
