Resident Evil 2's "Z Version Premium Edition" will cost $972

Resident Evil 2's

Capcom and Qwerkytoys have teamed up to create a Resident Evil 2: Remastered Edition themed mechanical keyboard. With taxes, it's 107,784 yen, which translates into $972. The keyboard apparently can not be used with the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. It's compatible with smartphones, tablets, and PCs.

The Lexington Vintage Typewriter Bluetooth Keyboard, made in collaboration with Qwerkytoys the USA, can be purchased separately for 75,000 yen ($675) plus tax. However, the publisher and developer previously revealed the Collector's Edition for non-Japanese territories during San Diego Comic-Con 2018, with its price being a little more reasonable at $200.

The keyboard alone costs the equivalent of £530, while it's available in a bundle with just the game for £590 or as a combination with the Z Version called the Premium Edition. It's ¥99,800, about $900, to pick up the collector's edition and the "ink ribbon" masking tape.

All things considered, while the stylish Bluetooth-enabled keyboard is a cool product all on its own (so much so that it's being offered as a standalone item for $680), it will be interesting to see just how in-demand the Premium Edition becomes.
