Sony Building Spider-Man Universe; Wants Avengers

As part of EW's Fall Movie Preview issue, we have an exclusive new still from the film, which shows Venom in all his slimy, black-and-white glory. Sony has also had discussions on other Spider-Man characters such as Silk and Nightwatch, with Variety reporting that the Spidey adjacent superhero Jackpot is also in the works for her own movie.

Plot details on the film are now under wraps, though director Ruben Fleischer has previously stated that the film will be based on the Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes comic book runs.

Venom will be released in theaters on October 5, 2018.

Sony is open to having its characters from their Spider-Man movies appear in Marvel Studios movies, and likewise, would presumably also like to see some of the Avengers cameo in their own films. Along with Morbius, Sony has brought in writer Richard Wenk (Equalizer 2) to start on a script that will cover one of Spider-Man's most famous foes, Kraven the Hunter.

Google Pixel 3 XL leak shows USB-C headphones and notch
The back of the phone looks similar to that of the Pixel 2 XL though, with a metal and glass cover and a single-lens camera. I certainly wouldn't choose the Pixel 3 XL over the iPhone X or the many Android handsets that are far more attractive.

"Marvel and Sony have strengthened their ties in recent years".

"We believe Black Cat is enough of her own character with a great backstory and a canon of material to draw from to justify her own film", said Panitch.

While many have commonly referred to Sony's planned universe as the "Spider-Verse", it turns out the studio has a different name for it. "There are villains, heroes, and antiheroes, and a lot are female characters, many of whom are bona fide, fully dimensionalized, and utterly unique". Way back when, Amy Pascal said that Venom and its ilk would take place in an "adjunct" to the MCU, but Kevin Feige then backtracked on this and said that there was no connection between the two studios on these projects.
