Google Pixel 3 XL leak shows USB-C headphones and notch

Why they received this Google Pixel 3 XL in the mail, we can not be entirely sure. Google Pixel 3 will have a screen resolution of 1440×2960 pixels with a pixel density of 494 ppi. The bezels at the top end of the phone are thinner but you get a notch that has an earpiece and front-facing camera.

It looks a lot like the Pixel 2 XL, with the only difference being the notch. A bonus shot reveals "Pixel Bud-esque wired USB-C earbuds" that come packaged with the phone.

The images give us our best look yet at the device and its packaging, and they confirm some of its specifications. They appear to be USB-C headphones, but with that very familiar Pixel Buds design.

Original coverage, August 08, 09:58AM ET:We're still a couple of months away from the expected launch of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL in October, but the leaks just aren't stopping. Clearly White is looking pretty good, but Google has never been content to simply have one colour, so we can't wait to see what else they have.

Google released Android Pie on Monday, and we know that the new version of the OS supports phones with notches.

Google isn't changing much about the design on the back of the phone. I certainly wouldn't choose the Pixel 3 XL over the iPhone X or the many Android handsets that are far more attractive. The back of the phone looks similar to that of the Pixel 2 XL though, with a metal and glass cover and a single-lens camera. That'd indicate that we're running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 here - which is right on the mark for what this smartphone's been rumored to run for the past several weeks.
