DJI Mavic 2 Leak Reveals 'Pro' Drone with Hasselblad Camera

While the Argos advert spills the beans on everything except pricing, the surprising bit of news is that the Mavic 2 will come in two models - the Pro and the Zoom.

Reading the small print below we can see that both drones will be able to hit speeds of 45 miles per hour and stay in the air for 31 minutes at a time.

Now, just because the drones appeared in a catalog does not mean a launch is imminent. The Pro will hold a Hasselblad camera with a 1-inch sensor and no zoom, while the Zoom will, obviously, include a 2X optical zoom lens to aid aerial close-ups.

Now thanks to a render obtained by the folks at Photo Rumors, we have a better idea of what the upcoming drone could look like.

The listing in the Argos catalogue reveals that the Mavic 2 Pro is capable of streaming live HD video, and has "omni-directional obstacle sensing" to prevent collisions.

It was towards the beginning of the month that we got to see an alleged image of the unannounced DJI Mavic 2. In the catalogue, there is no mention of the recording capabilities, though we would not rule out 4K recording features. It will also offer 360-degree obstacle detection.

Little news exists about the Enterprise, speculation around what the payloads shown in the leak may be ranges from a large LED panel to a speaker or a sensor.

Pricing and availability have yet to be revealed, but we'll likely know sooner rather than later since Argos chose to include the Mavic 2 already before it was even announced. Dolly Zoom (zoom version only). It will be interesting to see what differentiates the two drones from each other in more detail.

A DJI spokesperson commented "This pre-printed catalogue was scheduled before we postponed our "See the Bigger Picture" event to ensure we can deliver high-quality, cutting-edge technology to our customers according to our standard of innovation". "We look forward to giving our fans an incredible drone experience as soon as we can".
