Canadian model Zombie Boy, featured in Lady Gaga video, dies

Model Rick Genest, otherwise known as "Zombie Boy", a friend of Lady Gaga's, who was featured in her "Born This Way" video, was found dead in his home yesterday.

Radio-Canada reported the news late Thursday, citing a police source, but Montreal police would not confirm the information.

The 32-year-old, who first rose to fame after he appeared in Lady Gaga's music video "Born This Way" in 2011, shared on Instagram what is believed to be a self-penned poem - the well.

Lady Gaga just responded to the sad news, calling the suicide of her friend "beyond devastating".

The superstar tweeted after the reports of his death surfaced, imploring her followers to bring the issue of mental health to the forefront. "We must save each other", she added.

Fashion designer and stylist Daniel Lismore tweeted: "Rest in peace lovely Rick Genest, Zombie Boy!".
