Nets Trade Jeremy Lin to the Hawks

A person with knowledge of the deal says the Brooklyn Nets have agreed to trade Jeremy Lin to the Atlanta Hawks.

The Brooklyn Nets traded Lin on Thursday night to the Atlanta Hawks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Nets, meanwhile, get a 2020 second round pick (via the Portland Trail Blazers) and the rights to Isaia Cordinier, a 2016 second round pick who will probably never suit up for the team. Denver's 2019 first round pick to the Nets is protected 1-12.

The Nets weren't done there, either. As part of the deal, the two teams will also exchange future second-round picks. He has said he expects to be ready for training camp.

As for the special, well, as we said, it is known that the company intends to air it worldwide sometime next year. It was noted a few months back that the game's sales surpassed other Capcom greats, such as Resident Evil.

Lin, who broke into the league with the 2010-11 Warriors where Schlenk was in Golden State's front office, suffered a season-ending ruptured patellar tendon in the Nets' opener a year ago.

Wojnarowski noted that league sources indicated the Lin trade will likely speed up the process of the Hawks trading guard Dennis Schroder this summer. In the previous season, Lin averaged 14.5 points and 5.1 assists per game. Arthur, 30, averaged 2.8 points and 0.8 rebounds in 19 contests.
