Phil Mickelson breaks rules again, this time at Greenbrier

Almost a month after appalling the golf world (and violating the PGA rulebook) by putting a moving ball at the U.S. Open, Phil Mickelson was back at it, bending the rules of the game at A Military Tribute at Greenbrier Sunday, which is a tournament, apparently. Sizing up the 439-yard par-4 7th hole on the tee, Phil wandered up to the front of the tee box and trod down some rogue fescue grass with his foot.

Watching the miscue, it looks like an innocent enough mistake, and Phil was quick to consult a rules official after realizing what he had done. The official left to consult with others before returning and confirming a two-stroke penalty.

Mickelson shot 74 on Sunday to finish 1-under 279 for the tournament, which was won by Kevin Na.

Phil Mickelson had another rules violation this weekend at A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier, but it was far from the controversial ruckus he caused at the U.S. Open earlier this year.

The British pound dives after Boris Johnson resigns as Foreign Secretary
Davis was replaced Monday with Dominic Raab, a lawmaker who strongly supports Britain's European Union exit. He was due to co-host a summit on the Western Balkans in London on Monday but did not show up.

Mickelson stayed in the tournament and issued a tepid apology that evening.

"I'm looking forward to getting over there", Mickelson said. Taking two shots from his score only would've moved him up into a tie for 55th.

Four days later, Mickelson issued a more expansive apology in a text message to Golf.com. I'm embarrassed and disappointed by my actions.
