Officer stops to save young boy from busy road

Last month, Sgt. Andrew Mannino's dash cam captured the shocking sight of the toddler running all by himself in the right lane of the highway.

But as he drew closer, he realized it was a 1-year-old boy running along the highway's right lane, just steps away from passing cars. Mannino parked his cruiser to block traffic, then ran to the little boy who was eventually reunited with his mother.

Mannino then got out on foot and chased after the boy, managing to quickly get him to safety as cars and tractor-trailers sped by.

The rescue was all caught on camera, showing the officer run after the child and tell him he's okay.
