This season I have been able to witness a lot of firsts: the first season of NCAA D1 hockey in Arizona, the first Desert Hockey Classic, and the first NWHL Isobel Cup final. Documenting these different events for Along the Boards has been such a privilege. This is a selection of my favorite pictures from this past season.

First off, in the final home game of Arizona State University’s inaugural NCAA D1 season they faced off against the US National Team Development Program’s Under-18 team at Gila River Arena on February 28th. The US NTDP  won the game 5-2. This picture of defenseman Adam Fox surrounded by ASU players is the thing I love the most about this picture. Everyone looking towards the man with the puck to see what he is going to do next makes you wonder as well.
